It was perfect in general: modern room, stunning location not far from Holland and the AJAX stadium. I had a few drinks at Brouwerij de Prael, located right at the venue, before going to sleep. It had a closet space and electrical adapters, plus a view over lake...

Magnificent setting, airy rooms, everything was perfect. Location on the outskirts of the red light district. Plus so close to cafe's, and central station. Met the criteria, would recomand.

The location of Velvetamsterdam is marvellous and incredible, just a pleasant stroll away from Museum Het Rembrandthuis. It is set right by the central train station, the outskirts of the red light district, and a canal.

We had a fantastic stay at Velvet! the location was ideal, with easy and quick access from the train station. the room itself was beautifully decorated, modern, and spotless. the view of the canal was absolutely stunning, adding to the overall charm of the place. the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in, especially with it being a spacious king size. As a bonus, there was a fridge in the room where we could keep milk for our cereal breakfast. We also appreciated the quietness of the room despite the busy street outside. we highly recommend Velvet for its great location, beautiful room, and comfortable amenities. Cons: Was all great! 😊.

The location is incredibly comfortable, just next door to the red light district, Dam Square, and the train station. The rooms are spotless. The staff knows how to make your stay very enjoyable. For dessert lovers, there is Cafe Bar Aen't Water 300 meters away. We would recommend the venue to anyone. Best stay ever!

The location of this place was simply mind-blowing. Right in the middle of all the action, yet quiet and cozy. The room was spacious and the ensuite was a great convenience. The brand new king bed was super comfortable. David, the host, was incredibly helpful. The fruit bowl added a nice touch.

I recently stayed at Velvetamsterdam for a few nights with my 10-year-old son and it was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the action but still quiet and cozy. The owners really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from adapters in the closet to a first aid kit. The room was well-equipped with a tea pot, variety of teas, coffee, and even a bottle of water. The view of the canal was breathtaking, and we were within walking distance of all the museums and the Central station. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be recommending this place to our friends. Thank you, David!

I recently stayed at Velvetamsterdam for a few nights with my 10-year-old son and had a fantastic experience. The hotel's location was perfect - right in the center of everything yet surprisingly quiet and cozy. We felt right at home. The owners made sure we had everything we needed in our room, from adapters to a first aid kit. They even provided a bottle of water, a tea pot with a variety of tea, coffee, and milk. The view of the canal was also a major plus. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, with easy access to transportation options such as the train station and tram stops. the hotel room had a lovely view of the canal, providing a picturesque atmosphere. the room itself was comfortable and clean, with amenities such as a large bed and a spacious ensuite bathroom. the host was friendly and accommodating, providing useful information and making guests feel welcome.

The noise level from the surrounding area could be quite high at times, which may disrupt the peace and quiet of the room.

Value for money was great, especially with the complimentary fridge in the room for keeping milk and having cereal. The room itself was modern, immaculate, and the king-size bed was comfortable, perfect for my large husband. The location was super convenient, just a short walk from the central train station, and we were able to easily explore the entire city by foot. The view from our room was amazing and we couldn't even hear the hustle and bustle of the nearby red light district once the windows were closed. David, the staff member, was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting!

The only thing that could have improved was the breakfast, as it wasn't included and we had to go get our own.
